Riddles

June 16, 1993

Just a sliver of the moon
Suspended high in the sky
Reminds me that some things
Are still out of reach
No matter how close they seem

A star falling rapidly down
Is only an illusion to most
To never be found by those who just watch
It takes an act to find
All that you’re searching for
Even if it’s only one night’s peace

From the heavens to the earth
There’s so much undiscovered
Some things are meant to be kept hidden forever
The awe and wonder of a mystery

There is no bigger mystery
Than that of yourself
There is no bigger fear
Than solving your own riddle
And having to eventually share it
I will always remain a secret
I love in riddles and rhymes
I never learned how to share.
